Roger Ingersoll

My Masonic career began in 1975 when I was inititated into the Order of DeMolay on November 8. I joined the Order of Knighthood a few years later and served as "Illustrious Knight Commander" there.

I was presented with the DeMolay Cross of Honor in 1991, a Chevalier in 1983 and Legion of Honor in 1997. In 2000, I was presented with the Guild of the Leather Apron (Advisor of the Year) for Texas and in 2003 was appointed District Governor for the Ft. Worth, TX area. I am a Charter Life Member of the DeMolay Alumni Association. In addition to my duties as District Governor, I serve as Chairman of the Advisory board for my DeMolay Chapter..

I knew I was going to become a Mason when I was old enough mainly because of the admiration I had for the Advisiors of my DeMolay Chapter. They exhibited qualities that I wanted for myself. After I turned 21, I petitioned and was Initiated, Passed and Raised a Master Mason in Thomas B. Hunter Lodge #1356, A.F.& A.M. of the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1982.

I joined the Scottish Rite and Shrine in 1983. In the Shrine, I joined the Klown Unit and joined the "International Shrine Clown Association". I am a Charter member of Alla Grotto joining that organization in 1988 and assisting in forming the "Alla Grotto Klowns". I served as Secretary of Alla Grotto Klowns in 1989 and President in 1990.
